The KR application
KR is Kai Radian, Inc.’s application for working with Kai, an AI assistant, through text and voice. Ask questions, develop ideas and work with information you choose to make available. Your profile, permitted knowledge and private conversation history support continuing work.
Work with your knowledge
A Brain is a knowledge collection owned by a Person or Company. You choose the sources Kai can use from those you have permission to access. You can save work and upload documents to an authorized Brain. Shared Rooms provide conversations with their permitted participants; private conversations retain their own history.
Connect your own Google account
In KR Settings, open Connections and choose Google. You sign in directly with Google and decide whether to authorize KR. Each Person connects their own accounts through the interface; no developer or Codex setup is needed. KR does not receive your Google password, and other users do not gain access to your account.
Google authorization covers Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Tasks together. The actions available in KR depend on the permissions you grant and the controls you choose for each account. Kai can:
- Read Gmail, create and edit drafts, send messages with specified recipients and content, organize messages and move them to Trash.
- Read calendars and availability, create events with optional guests, and update ordinary events you organize.
- Find, copy, rename and move Drive files, create folders, share with a named person, and move files to Trash.
- Read Google Docs, create documents and copies, and append or replace text.
- Read Google Sheets, create spreadsheets, write literal cell values, append rows and add tabs.
- Read Google Slides, create presentations and slides, edit text and update speaker notes.
- Read, create, update, complete and reopen Google Tasks.
Permanent deletion is unavailable. Google may grant broader abilities than KR exposes. Personal connections are unavailable in shared Rooms.
Choose what Kai can do
Each connected account has five controls: Read, Create, Update, Send or share, and Trash. Set each to Blocked, Ask first or Allowed in Connections in KR Settings. The suggested starting settings allow Read and Create and ask first for Update, Send or share, and Trash. These controls apply across the account’s Google services and also apply when Kai follows a Skill.
For an action that needs approval, Kai pauses while you review the exact account, action and content in KR. Choose Allow once or Deny; an unanswered request expires after ten minutes. An operation that needs several action groups must satisfy each one. Only you, through the signed-in application, can change these controls or authorize an approval request. A message or Skill cannot change them.
Changing these controls does not require another Google consent when the account already has the necessary permissions. If permissions are missing, reconnect from Settings to add them. Connections shows the access granted to each account.
Understand what happens to your information
Connecting alone does not start monitoring your accounts or copy their content into a Brain. When you ask Kai to use Google content, the relevant information is processed by OpenAI to answer your request and may remain in your private conversation history. Requested creations and changes send the corresponding content back to Google. Saving content to a Brain is a separate action governed by your instructions and permissions. Voice also uses OpenAI processing.
You can disconnect in KR Settings to remove KR’s connection credentials and stop future connector access. Disconnecting does not erase existing history or Brain content. You can separately revoke KR’s app grant in your Google account settings.
Before you begin
Review the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for data handling, retention and your responsibilities. AI results can be wrong; check important outputs before relying on them. Access to the application and features depends on your account and permissions.
